For everyone’s health and safety, Sail Buffalo is in full compliance with the guidelines and phases during the Covid-19 pandemic as outlined by New York State and Erie County. We are now in PHASE TWO which means Summer Camp is OPEN ON JUNE 29. Please see what we are doing at Sail Buffalo to make our campers safe and healthy!

  • Separate hand-washing station will be available to all campers.

  • 6 ft distancing during lunch breaks!

  • Onsite the instructors and kids will wear a face mask. Two hundred face masks have been ordered. Each participant is encouraged to bring own.

  • Daily temperature check upon arrival. We purchased a non-touch thermometer which are onsite.

  • We have limited the number of campers. Daily participants will include 2 groups of 10. This season will not host larger groups such as the YWCA and City Mission.

  • We will designate weekly equipment: each dinghy will be assigned to 2 kids for the week. We encourage you to bring your own life jacket.

  • Instructors will wash and rinse off all equipment and buildings daily, per written agreement with NYS. Cleaning Log will be available at the office.

UPDATES on the 2020 SAIL BUFFALO Sailing Season Due to the Covid-19

We are making frequent adjustments to Sail Buffalo’s Summer Programming to ensure everyone’s safety. Check back here frequently to see what we are doing to makes sailing safe and possible in 2020. We are now in PHASE TWO which means Summer Camp is NOW OPEN:

  • Junior Sail Camp is OPEN beginning June 29! Please register your camper HERE
  • ASA Sailing Classes – Our sailing classes will resume when NY state opens up in Phase 4  of the NY state restart plan. This phase includes arts, entertainment, recreation and education. We are currently in Phase 1.

  • Friends of Sail Buffalo – This program is limited to community members who have previously graduated from ASA 101 Sailing Class. For these “Friends,” boat share is permitted to HOUSEHOLD ONLY family members.

  • Kayak Hotel – Sail Buffalo is open for low-coast storage by the water. Please CLICK HERE to learn more and book.
